We’re Family Owned and it Shows.
1940s
Our dad, Charles S. Evenson was brought up in the Greenwood County oilfields. Throughout the ’40s, his parents owned and operated a service station in Burkett that serviced vehicles and drilling rigs which were operated by Phillips 66.
1959
Father worked for several companies while attending college at Wichita State University, graduating in 1959. Over the next decade, he worked for Jones & Laughlin Steel Corp. supply division and The Dupont Co.
1965
In 1965, he attended Missouri Auction School and founded Evenson Auctioneers selling industrial, oil field and heavy equipment in Wichita, Kansas.
1975
We held our first public oil and gas production auction in 1975 and have been selling oil and gas properties nationally ever since.
2008
Charles S. Evenson was inducted into the Great Bend Petroleum Hall of Fame for his contribution to the oil and gas industry.
2018
We’ve kept Evenson Auctioneers right here in the family – Mike and Mark purchased the company from their father in 2000 and continue to operate it today.
